The fine print
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the federal No Surprises Act, health care providers must give clients who are not using insurance an estimate of expected charges for services.
What this means for you
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the total expected cost of therapy services before you start, and to request one at any time.
- For this practice, self-pay psychotherapy is $150 per individual session. Your estimate will reflect the expected number and frequency of sessions discussed in your treatment planning.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
If you are paying through insurance
Alicia accepts your insurance payments, as provided by your carrier, as the full payment for your sessions. Your exact cost per session is verified with your carrier before your first appointment, so there are no surprise bills.
