Addiction & habit change

Online addiction counseling in Florida

Maybe it is drinking. Maybe it is a substance, or a habit that started as relief and became a cage. You have probably already tried to stop on your own, more than once.

Wanting to change and knowing how to change are two different things.

That is where therapy comes in.

How Alicia approaches addiction

A steady way through, at your pace

Alicia has decades of experience helping people overcome addictions of all kinds. Her approach is judgment-free and whole-person: the habit is not the whole story, it is the visible part of it. Together you will look at what the habit has been doing for you, what it is costing you, and what needs to happen, step by step, for you to take your life back. Expect practical structure, honest conversations, homework between sessions, and support through setbacks, because setbacks are part of recovery, not the end of it.

Alicia works with

  • Alcohol and drug use
  • Habits and compulsive behaviors you want to break
  • The anxiety, depression, or old wounds that often live underneath addiction
  • Family members affected by a loved one's addiction
I felt very comfortable working with Alicia, as I felt as if she understood everything I am going through very well. Ms. Frank was able to offer a step by step approach to helping me to understand why I am drinking as well as the effects I am having on those around me. I learned to talk about my feelings as opposed to swallowing them with alcohol. I would recommend Ms. Frank in a heartbeat to anyone seeking a positive outcome.
