Alicia S. Frank, LMHC, MA, Licensed Mental Health Counselor
  • Florida LMHC, license MH21764
  • More than 30 years in practice
  • Remote only: private HIPAA-compliant video, audio only, or phone sessions
  • Evening appointments available
  • Currently accepting new clients

She is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (license MH21764) who works entirely remotely, with clients who reside anywhere in Florida. Her clients are people who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or worn down from holding everything together for too long.

An eclectic approach, shaped around you

Alicia is an eclectic therapist. Her foundation is psychoanalytic psychology, the deep work of understanding how your earlier experiences shape your present patterns. On top of that foundation she draws freely from cognitive and behavioral modification therapy, spiritual counseling, and other modalities, depending on what you need. In practice, that looks like:

Practical and skills-based

Whatever tools you are seeking, Alicia will provide insightful guidance, homework assignments to focus on between sessions, and practice with new ways of interacting through role modeling during the session, alongside skills for managing anxious thoughts, stress, and reactions.

Reflective

When patterns keep repeating, you will look together at where they come from, so they lose their grip.

Strength-based and whole-person

Alicia builds on what is already working in your life, rather than focusing only on your presented symptoms. You are treated as a whole person, made up of many dynamics, and your past, present, and future are all incorporated into the sessions.

Most sessions are a mix, shaped by what you need that day.

A note on the journey

Therapy is not an overnight fix. It is a commitment: to keep your appointments, to engage with the homework, and to stay with the process while the effects of your experiences unravel at their own pace. For some people that takes months; for others, years. What you gain along the way is real growth toward becoming the fullest version of yourself.

Who she helps

Individuals, from children through older adults. People come to Alicia for anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, grief, divorce and relationship strain, self-esteem, anger, addictions, major life transitions, and many other stressors.

You have already taken the first step

Reaching out can feel difficult, especially when you have been handling things alone for a long time. Alicia is currently accepting new clients for remote therapy throughout Florida.
